Looking for some land to start a small scale farming operation while I am still in the Service.
Plan
Im planning on starting a flock of sheep to start the process of building up experience and capital to start a larger operation once im out of the Service. I grew up around dairy cows and know a little about animal husbandry. I plan to learn and experiment with sustainable regenerative farming practices and learn how to care for livestock on a small part time scale.

Im looking to start with around 4 ewes, and one ram to start breeding and lambing to grow the flock. Hopefully by the end of that first year im looking to get two bottle Calf herferds to start raising them along side the sheep for full coverage of forage on the pasture. Planning to sell lambs and butcher the sheep for meat to sell at a farmers market while also collecting the wool to sell to hand spinners and other fiber consumers/distributors.

Experience details
I was in 4-H and FFA in high-school. I showed and raised to show dairy cows in my youth. I come from a long line of ranchers and dairy farmers so I've been exposed to it all my life. I do not have any formal education or training.
