Miss Grace Farms is a diversified farm spanning approximately 388 acres, with 80 acres of USDA Organic certified cropland currently in production and much of the rest in forestland that is gradually being transitioned to sustainable, conservation forestry practices and agroforestry. Located in Pink Hill, North Carolina, and split between Lenoir and Duplin Counties, most of the open cropland is focused on regenerative/organic production of commodity and specialty crops, with approximately four acres for smaller-scale Organic market gardening and a native nursery.
We are seeking an on-site operator who is interested in engaging collaboratively with us on the stewardship of Miss Grace Farms. You would be working directly with the family farm manager and organizations we work closely with, including Croatan Institute and Piedmont Agrarian Collaborative. We are seeking to partner with someone who has an interest in broader regenerative stewardship of the entire operation. Housing at the farm is potentially available, and it sits on a stocked pond near the market garden acreage.

As a multi-generational family farm, stewardship of the land is vital, and over the last five years, Miss Grace Farms has been focused on more actively building soil health through regenerative strategies across what was previously conventionally managed cropland and timber plantations. The farm is currently enrolled in numerous USDA programs, including the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP), and other public and private programs supporting Organic transition and the implementation of other conservation practices.

Additional information about this property
This opportunity to partner could support a beginning/young operator who is looking for mentorship and land with some established infrastructure and organic certification, while also seeking to develop their own regenerative organic agricultural ambitions. A more established operator who wants to expand their operations in a manner that is aligned with regenerative and certified Organic practices could be another good candidate. An operator with an interest in bringing their own entrepreneurial interests and ideas into the operation would be welcome, including potentially new areas such as a pasture-based or agroforestry livestock enterprise or an agritourism component.
