Relocating to NC and looking for a homestead for my family.

I’d like to plant timber and harvest it when matured. I’d have chickens, goats, pigs, ducks, and my 2 livestock guardian dogs.

  • Well / Pond / Other water source

Equipment and infrastructure details

A home to live in with my family.

  • Sale (Owner Financed)
  • Lease w/Option to Buy

Opportunity details

Seeking owner financing, lease-to-own, or a direct cash purchase within my available budget. Open to negotiating a reasonable down payment and flexible repayment terms. My goal is permanent land ownership for a family homestead, sustainable timber production, livestock, and food cultivation.

  • Ecological production but not certified

Practices details

My goal is to establish a sustainable, self-sufficient family farm using regenerative agriculture and silvopasture practices. I plan to plant timber for long-term harvesting while rotationally grazing cattle, goats, and pigs among mature trees. I also intend to raise free-range chickens and ducks for meat and eggs, along with growing vegetables, fruits, and other crops for my family. My focus is on improving soil health, conserving water, encouraging biodiversity, and reducing reliance on commercial inputs. I want to produce as much of my family’s food as possible while creating a productive, environmentally responsible homestead that can be passed down to my children.

Goals details

My goal is to establish a sustainable, self-sufficient family homestead using silvopasture, rotational grazing, timber production, and regenerative farming practices. I plan to plant timber for long-term harvesting while allowing livestock to graze among mature trees. I intend to raise goats, pigs, cattle, chickens, and ducks for meat and eggs, along with growing vegetables, fruits, and other edible crops. My focus is on producing healthy food for my family, improving soil fertility, conserving water, protecting wildlife habitat, and reducing reliance on commercial food sources. Ultimately, I want to build a productive, environmentally responsible homestead for future generations.

Experience details

I grew up around agriculture, with my grandparents operating a farm of over 1,000 acres where they rotated alfalfa, corn, and potatoes and raised cattle. Although my career ultimately took me in a different direction, my passion for farming and working the land has never faded. There is something deeply rewarding about raising your own livestock, growing your own food, and knowing exactly where the food you put on your family’s table comes from. My goal is to return to those roots and pass that same appreciation for the land and self-sufficiency on to my children.
